Gluten-Free Brownies

It’s the start of school holidays and the kids are already bored, seems like these days the more they have the more they can not amuse themselves go figure. A bunch of  homemade brownies will get them quiet for ten minutes at least.

Gluten Free Brownies

Gluten and Grain free treat

Ingredients

2 cups almond meal or can use 1 cup peanut or almond butter for a nutter crunchy texture

1/2 cup rice malt syrup or maple syrup

1 egg

2 tb butter

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup cacao or cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 160’c
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond meal, syrup, egg, butter and vanilla and stir in cacao or cocoa
  3. Pour a sn spread batter evenly into a lined square baking tin  and bake for 20mins until brownies just done but soft in the middle
